just to say.....: Hii Guys.....

just to say...my thoughts.

Hii Guys.....

Blogging after a very long time.....Sorry for not being in touch with all of you....

I had got busy on the official front hence not giving enough time to myself.....Today when after a very long time, I was siiting quietly in my room, a thought came over to me and I wondered what am I really up to? Meeting deadlines , doing every little bit to prove that I am Capable of doing almost everything....where has it actually brought us?

That day I over heard some kids of 5 - 6 yrs of age to discuss what they would become when they grow up....It was an amusing experience...Let me share.

These boys were playing Chor Police when Shiv said, " You know I will become a Police officer, and catch hold of all the bad guys in the world". The other boy, Pratyush added," I wanted to become that as well, ok then two of us will become Police officers." To this Hita said "Are main kya banu phir?"(what will I become then?)., Shiv replied," Tu doctor ban jana. Police ko chot lagegi to phir hum tere pass ayenge na." (You become a doctor, when police will get hurt ,then we will come to you)...

Aditya , another boy wanted to be different and thus added , "Bhaii I'll become a racing car driver....Red color kii carr drive karunga, and Mumma will call out my name Adi,Adi....from the dias". Pratyush didn't understand why Aditya wanted to become something else, so he said "Are yaar...phir tu hamari madad kaise karega? Hum do log milke chor ko pakrenge kaise?....Tu bhi Police ban jana na?....please warna Katti." (how will u then help us...please become a Police officer...or else No freindship then" Aditya replied , "Theek hai main phir Rocket chala lunga aur upar se choron par net phenk dunga phir tum logon ko use pakadne mein asani hogi."(ok I 'll then become a rocket driver and throw net on these bad men to help u all." I found their conversation so easy that I instantly got involved in it. It was so easy for them to pick and choose a profession and also change it according to their whims. Wow.......

How I am reminded of my childhood days when at one time I wanted to become an actress, then a dancer, Lady police officer, Prime minister and what not...My God it was so easy.

I wish I could get back to my old days when my needs were taken care of by my parents....unaware of the deadlines , financial crunches, mood swings, and of course to acheive the almost impossible 'perfect employee  for the BOSS'...

Uh!! I wonder what has happened to me ? I just do not seem to be the one I was as a carefree little girl...

Heat waves in Delhi....

Uh!! its really really hot out here with the temperature soaring to a maximum high of  42°C

The city's climate becomes very hot during the month of May and June which is followed by monsoons happening somewhere after September.
Come Summer and you are already looking for things such as Sadi Dilli Ka Banta or the unsophisticated yet tasty lemon soda , Chuski which is  the common man's ice cream and none the less , the famous Gol Gappas . Perhaps Delhi without these yummy and tasty things would be bland.

In Delhi the temperature plays a major role in deciding the mood and nature of a person. During the summers the men are like boiling hot on the busy roads and often you can find them quarrelling for some or the other stupid reasons. They are unable to control their anger during the times of rush. You can see similar behaviour of the women folk as well. Moreover the scooter riding ladies  are seen completely covered from top to bottom, trying their level best to avoid the scorching heat. Even the animals can be seen hiding in shades wherever they can find. School going kids have a tough time as they come back at an hour when the sun is really really hot. Thats the time when you think of the Winters.

As in comparison to summer, winters are short yet pleasant .

Winter Season starts from the end of November and continues till February-March. The cold waves from the Himalayan region makes the winters in New Delhi very chilly. Temperatures fall substantially down to as low as 3 to 4ยบ C at the peak of winter. Winters in Delhi get really chilly with bonfires all round the streets of Delhi to beat the cold waves. Of course you face problems of fog and smog during winters. In January, a dense fog envelopes the city, reducing visibility on the streets. Usually though, winter days are pleasant with bright sunlight in afternoons only.
Monsoons in Delhi are almost nil only that you can find some occasional showers which are meant not to quench the thirst but to rise the levels of Humidity.

But none the less , this city has a charm of its own. Be it scorching summers , chilly winters or negligible monsoons , the people in this city know how to find the alternatives and thus remain chilled out throughout.......

I'm saying this because i'm a pucca Delhiite.....

My little wonder, my car - Maruti 800

Hello friends,

Today is supposed to be the end of an era , of common man's luxury , Maruti 800.The small car that changed the way Indians drove and helped put the Indian automobile market into the global big league will stop rolling out of showrooms in major cities from today

I remember when baba bought a Maruti 800 after selling away our Fiat , it was so much of a luxury for us. My father had asked the dealer to show a affordable yet reliable car. The dealer had immediately showed us Maruti 800 , choice of almost a million by that time. When we drove this car back home my father had a hard time in controlling the light vehicle as he was used to driving the heavy Fiat. It was such a gliding and a smooth feeling , we almost felt we were flying the otherwise tough roads of Delhi. I and my brother used to freak out on this wonderful car while going to our school or to any place for that matter. When I grew up , I often took our car to my college, rejoicing the feeling all the way, of course by not telling my father. It was so very precious for our family that when this car was stolen , we felt as if we have lost some living being from our family. But baba kept his compose and we wondered how could he be so cool...But realised that even baba had felt the same for his car because he again preferred a Maruti 800 only , a replica of our previous one.

So much is linked with this Car , I just cant wonder that today is the last day for this Car to be supplied to anyone else any more. Now that my father is driving a more stylised version of Maruti Suzuki , I have taken over our old Maruti 800. I drive it to my office now , almost cherrishing all that I have experienced as a child. It has become a part of my life and I feel a lot more for this car now.........as I know I will not be able to buy a similar version any more.

I love you my old little wonderful car....

My much thought after step..........

Hi friends,

You all must be wondering as to why this title and that to so late?...Actually this is my third post in my blog and now I have gathered the courage to introduce myself to all of you.

I am a mix of an Arian (Moon sign) and a Taurian ( Hindu Birth sign) with some traits of a Virgo(Sun sign). So i am straight forward and stubborn like the ram , little lazy to start anything new and unconventional , like the bull and ofcourse emotional and perfectionist like the virgin lady. But I find it difficult to express my feelings often.....hence reserved too....My brother , a regular blogger , suggested me to join this community so that I have a better space and better people to express my thoughts....So i'm here...much after debating to join or not.

I have always enjoyed reading books and articles on almost anything...starting from nature , children , movies , autobiographies etc...not so much in politics though....but this is my first attemt to speak up , rather blog up on my views and my thoughts... And now that I have joined , I would like to express my thoughts to all of you....with a hope to recieve right feedbacks on my articles. Can't promise though how often will I be able to blogg , looking into my work schedules...But I promise I'll try to be regular in expressing my thoughts.

Thanks a tonne for all your encouragements,

Love . ..Piyali

What is in a Name...

What goes wrong in a relationship is often hard to define. Couples swearing to the core of their hearts to remain loyal and truthful and also to support each other in hard times , suddenly become the enemies of life.....Even they forget the intimate moments they have spend with each other....It is not only hard but also difficult for both the husband as well as the wife.

But I feel the children out of these wedlocks suffer the most....specially if the child's custody has been given to the mother.....Unfortunately decision making authorities of India have often ignored this issue.

Today in a daily newspaper a journalist has reported that the Mumbai High court has ruled that divorced women cannot use their ex - husband's name...Since there is a chance of misusing it....but how come the noble authority has not ruled anything for the children out of such wedlock....

"What is the name of your father ?" often a child is asked this question. Not only that , he or she is asked to use father's surname as his also.... In such a case should the mother use her maiden surname only? I think the High court should specify this also along with this ruling.....

What do you say?....
